SEED Expands Eye Care with SEED 1dayPure EDOF & Breath-O Correct Lenses

Asia Cornea Society Conference 2024 contact lens

SEED Contact Lens Asia continues to drive innovation in eye care across the region, with a strong focus on presbyopia management through the SEED 1day Pure EDOF lens in Singapore. This same lens has now been introduced in Indonesia, offering a dual solution for both presbyopia and myopia management. SEED is also enhancing its myopia management portfolio in both countries with the Breath-O Correct (BOC) Orthokeratology lenses for spherical corneas and the newly launched BOC TD (Toric Design) for toric corneas.

To support these efforts, Zhi Yun, SEED's Professional Affairs Executive, conducted live fitting workshops and training sessions in Indonesia from 24th September to 25th September 2024. These sessions aimed to strengthen partnerships with local practitioners and share insights on how BOC, BOC TD and SEED 1day Pure EDOF can effectively manage myopia. The workshops fostered in-depth discussions, providing valuable opportunities to refine approaches to myopia control.

From September 26th to 28th, 2024, Zhi Yun participated in the Asia Cornea Society Conference 2024, where she introduced SEED’s comprehensive Myopia Management portfolio. On September 26th, SEED 1day Pure EDOF was officially launched in Indonesia, addressing both presbyopia and myopia management needs. At the conference, Zhi Yun hosted an engaging session at the EDOF booth, which attracted around 20 doctors. Many insightful inquiries were raised about the versatility of EDOF lenses for both conditions

.
A key highlight of the conference was Dr. Tri’s session, where she presented data from 2018 to 2021, revealing that 38% of orthokeratology wearers were torics. This data highlighted a significant gap in the availability of toric ortho-k lenses, which SEED has now addressed with the BOC TD lens for toric corneas. In addition to these discussions, Zhi Yun conducted an interview with a SEED 1day Pure EDOF wearer who uses the lens to manage presbyopia. The wearer expressed satisfaction with the lenses, noting that they provide clear vision at all distances and eliminate the need for reading glasses, further demonstrating the lens’s effectiveness.
This series of events highlights SEED's commitment to advancing eye care through innovation and meaningful collaborations in both Singapore and Indonesia.
